INSPIRATION. CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA. Oenone’s extensive travels to Mexico where she visited the ancient Inca ruins of Palenque rising out of the Rainforest, and in Costa Rica where she visited Earthwatch projects in Rainforest, dry forest and cloud forest. In Belize & Guatemala Oenone Visited Rainforest projects for F.F.P.S, and was particularly inspired by the ruins at Tikal, the lost world of the Maya peoples completely taken over by jungle and wildlife. Oenone also visited Peruvian, Venezuelan and Equadorian Rainforests, cloud forests and Indigenous tribes. From each trip she gathered inspiration, from sketches and photographs to paint her collections of paintings which were exhibited in Washington D.C and helped raise funds for Rainforest conservation in Central & South America.
